_________Intensity____Quality

Aroma_____ __________

Brewed coffee gave rise to earthy and floral notes of black tea, which then finished off in a deep and ripe berry-like aroma.

Acidity ____ __________

Bright and juicy lemon acidity comes through the body of the coffee.

It is enjoyable and proportionately weighted.

Sweetness __________

The coffee initially delivered a candy-like, cloying sweetness.

However after some rest, the sweetness developed into more balanced hints of strawberry.

Body _____ __________

A dense, toffee-like body that was at the same time noted to be sticky towards the finish.

Finish_____ __________

Finish is long lasting with faint hints of powdery cinnamon and nutmeg spices.

A distinct and nice chocolate aftertaste is noticeable on the palate.

Notes

The coffee is quite characteristic of Costa Rican beans, with a bright acidity and chocolatey aftertaste. I particularly enjoyed these attributes as presented in the brewed coffee.

The aroma of earthy black tea was an interesting development - I found my brews to be mildly astringent at the finish, and I find that it fits nicely with the black tea aromas that appeared during the brewing process, enhancing the overall tasting experience.

However, the roast was slightly inconsistent, with a really small number of beans that were overdeveloped, retrospectively observed after some brews had an earthy, ashen finish.
