_________Intensity____Quality
Aroma_____ ⚃__________⚃
The freshly ground coffee beans are imbued with a sweetness of ripe stone fruits, lined with hints of mildly tart and juicy fruits that share similarities with starfruit. Cup has honeyed aromas with clean and distinct floral notes.
Acidity ____ ⚂__________⚂
A bright but unobtrusive acidity comes forward in the first sip. Conventional but well balanced, it smoothly melts into the body of the taste profile.
Sweetness ⚂__________⚃
The drink is sweet with meek golden kiwi notes that ties in with the residual acidity.
Body ends off with a touch of bitterness that provides an impression of a lemon tea profile.
Body _____ ⚃__________⚄
Body tends towards a smoother and more fluid nature, and holds a slight portion of weight in the mouth, just enough to be noticeable. At the same time, it feels silky on the palette.
Finish_____ ⚃__________⚃
Sour-salty starfruit notes that is both astringent and crisp surface towards the end.
Maturing from the lemon tea notes, the aftertaste is roasted and nutty, evident in how the feeling channels down towards the chest, and alludes towards the taste of roasted hazelnuts.
Notes
I find this coffee to be much richer and fuller when it is ground a click more finely than usual.
Drinking this coffee is an easy going experience, with fugacious tasting notes that result in a condensed, but constantly evolving taste journey. It is well suited for people with a certain preference in coffee profiles, whereby its sweetness seems to be diminished in face of the more piercing and intense nature of the faint bitterness in the tasting notes.
In the cup, the intense flavors greatly mellow when cooled, and the roasted, chesty finish comes to the fore. This rounds off the experience of drinking this cup of coffee rather well, as this finish pairs well with the distinctive character of lemon tea that this coffee embodies.
