_________Intensity____Quality
Aroma_____ ⚅__________⚅
Distinct, clear white floral scent of elderflowers first comes to the fore, before then giving way to develop into a burst of richly fragrant sweet melons.
Acidity ____ ⚅__________⚃
A vivid bright acidity fronts the drink, accompanied by sparkling textures. Together, the crisp and bubbly notes tamper down the intenseness of the aroma and acidity, allowing for a nice connection through to the rest of the profile of the drink.
Sweetness ⚄__________⚃
An open sweetness best characterized by gummy bears, imagined to be an assortment of the various flavors - strawberry, pineapple, raspberry - that linger at the back of the throat.
Body _____ ⚃__________⚃
Round and smooth, the coffee was not tacky nor washed out, but retained a rather luscious mouthfeel that is easy down the throat through to the finish
Finish_____ ⚅__________⚅
Packed intensely with flavors of dense sweetness of honeydews, within this musky sweetness were clean tints of a fruit-packed finish. Remarkably honeyed and smooth.
Notes
As with the other coffee from the same roaster, this coffee is similarly distinctive in that a completely different approach was adopted to brew what would be considered ideal flavors and extraction: A 25g dose, ground at 22 clicks on Comandante MKIII, brewed at 86°C
This coffee impresses to be crisp and fresh, combined with a juicy, almost perfume-like body of honeydewed sweetness, and the combination of white floral scents of elderflower, intense sparkly brightness, and densely fragrant sweetness seems to remind one of the experience of drinking a Prosecco.
While the coffee may perhaps have benefitted from having a slightly more complex sweetness, for what its worth, I found this coffee to be highly enjoyable for its well performing individual aspects that come together to be no less than it was alone.
